An ancient and noble flower, the iris has been appreciated for its beauty and symbolism around the world for thousands of years. The ancient pharaohs of Egypt carried scepters that were decorated with irises, as a way to symbolize their power and victory over enemies. In the middle ages, irises became associated with French royalty and were commonly found on their shields, coat of arms, and coins.
Today, the iris is considered a symbol of hope, wisdom, trust, and courage. Thanks to their incredible beauty and wide range of colors, irises remain a constant favorite among flower lovers. They also make a unique choice for a tattoo, allowing you to incorporate a variety of colors and detail into your design.
Our illustrative iris temporary tattoo was created in collaboration with Mini Lau, a tattoo artist in Hong Kong who is known for her pastel palette illustrative designs. It depicts three intricate purple irises in different stages of bloom. The fine detail and realistic appearance are a classic hallmark of her illustrative tattoo style.
If you’re considering permanent ink, our iris temporary tattoo provides the perfect way to try before you buy. This full-color fake tattoo comes in a set of three, so you can experiment with placements or share one with a friend.
How To
How To
How do I apply my Tatteco?
Remove the semi-transparent protective sheet and place the tattoo face down on clean, dry skin that is free from oils, lotions or creams.
Press a wet cloth firmly against the backing paper for around 30 seconds, then gently peel the paper away. Allow the tattoo to dry completely before touching it.
How long do temporary tattoos last?
A regular Tatteco lasts 2–5 days on average, although longevity varies depending on the design, placement and how you care for it.
Fine-line designs may fade a little sooner, while tattoos placed on areas with less friction can sometimes last longer.
For the best results, avoid applying your Tatteco to oily areas, places where the skin stretches frequently, or underneath tight-fitting clothing.
Our semi-permanent Tattecos last around 14 days.
How do I remove my Tatteco?
Your tattoo will gradually fade on its own after a few days.
If you would like to remove it sooner, apply rubbing alcohol or baby oil to the tattoo, leave it for around 10 seconds, then gently rub it away with a cloth.
Are Tattecos waterproof?
Yes. You can shower and swim while wearing your Tatteco.
However, avoid scrubbing, rubbing or washing directly over the tattoo, as friction will cause it to fade more quickly.
How can I make my tattoo last longer?
Apply your Tatteco to clean, dry, oil-free skin, ideally on an area that does not stretch or experience too much friction.
Once applied, keep the area clean and avoid excessive rubbing, exfoliation and tight clothing over the tattoo.
