Our ecological ‘amor fati’ 2-week temporary tattoo features a well-known Latin phrase that means "love of fate." For many people, this expression provides reassurance, hope, and inspiration. Arriving in a set of two, our handwritten ‘amor fati’ two-week tattoo is the perfect way to try out this classic design before getting inked.
The philosophy behind this phrase is that we should embrace all of the events of life, both good and bad, as part of our fate. The goal is to achieve a state of detachment in order to remain calm and peaceful in the face of life's ups and downs. This philosophical stance has its roots in Stoicism but also resonates with other schools of thought, such as Buddhism and Epicureanism.
In more recent history, the words in our handwritten ‘amor fati’ 2-week tattoo have been popularized by figures such as Friedrich Nietzsche and Jordan Peterson. For Nietzsche, it was a way of affirming life in all its creativity and chaos, while for Peterson it represents a form of acceptance that can lead to personal growth.
Our skin-friendly ‘amor fati’ two-week temporary tattoo is created from a unique blend of gardenia ink, which sinks into the skin. This allows the design to last for around 14 days, giving the wearer ample time to decide if this is the right choice. How To
How To
How do I apply my Tatteco?
Remove the semi-transparent protective sheet and place the tattoo face down on clean, dry skin that is free from oils, lotions or creams.
Press a wet cloth firmly against the backing paper for around 30 seconds, then gently peel the paper away. Allow the tattoo to dry completely before touching it.
How long do temporary tattoos last?
A regular Tatteco lasts 2–5 days on average, although longevity varies depending on the design, placement and how you care for it.
Fine-line designs may fade a little sooner, while tattoos placed on areas with less friction can sometimes last longer.
For the best results, avoid applying your Tatteco to oily areas, places where the skin stretches frequently, or underneath tight-fitting clothing.
Our semi-permanent Tattecos last around 14 days.
How do I remove my Tatteco?
Your tattoo will gradually fade on its own after a few days.
If you would like to remove it sooner, apply rubbing alcohol or baby oil to the tattoo, leave it for around 10 seconds, then gently rub it away with a cloth.
Are Tattecos waterproof?
Yes. You can shower and swim while wearing your Tatteco.
However, avoid scrubbing, rubbing or washing directly over the tattoo, as friction will cause it to fade more quickly.
How can I make my tattoo last longer?
Apply your Tatteco to clean, dry, oil-free skin, ideally on an area that does not stretch or experience too much friction.
Once applied, keep the area clean and avoid excessive rubbing, exfoliation and tight clothing over the tattoo.
