Whether you call it a ladybird or ladybug, there is no denying the attraction that most of us feel to this colorful garden beetle. As children, coming upon a ladybug was always a magical experience. Each time felt special as we carefully lifted up the tiny creature for closer inspection. When the ladybug spread its wings and lifted into the air, we were buoyed with optimism and hope.
In folklore, it is said that ladybugs first appeared after farmers prayed for help defending their crops from pestilence. Soon hundreds of ladybirds arrived, saving the harvest. The farmers named the ladybug “Our Lady’s Beetle” in homage to the Virgin Mary.
Today we know that ladybugs are a natural occurrence in gardens, but Medieval farmers believed it was a miracle. Since then, ladybugs have been a sign of good fortune, luck, blessings, and friendship. Our ladybird temporary tattoo is a perfect choice for anyone who wants to bring a bit of luck and joy into their life. It’s also a great option if you’re looking for a unique matching tattoo to get with your best friend, as ladybugs are symbols of friendship.
Thinking about getting permanent ink? Our minimalist ladybug temporary tattoo comes in a set of three, so it’s the best way to try before you buy. Designed using black soy ink, this is a delicate design that showcases the natural beauty of this favored insect.
If you prefer a colored design, we also offer a small red ladybird temporary tattoo.
How To
How To
How do I apply my Tatteco?
Remove the semi-transparent protective sheet and place the tattoo face down on clean, dry skin that is free from oils, lotions or creams.
Press a wet cloth firmly against the backing paper for around 30 seconds, then gently peel the paper away. Allow the tattoo to dry completely before touching it.
How long do temporary tattoos last?
A regular Tatteco lasts 2–5 days on average, although longevity varies depending on the design, placement and how you care for it.
Fine-line designs may fade a little sooner, while tattoos placed on areas with less friction can sometimes last longer.
For the best results, avoid applying your Tatteco to oily areas, places where the skin stretches frequently, or underneath tight-fitting clothing.
Our semi-permanent Tattecos last around 14 days.
How do I remove my Tatteco?
Your tattoo will gradually fade on its own after a few days.
If you would like to remove it sooner, apply rubbing alcohol or baby oil to the tattoo, leave it for around 10 seconds, then gently rub it away with a cloth.
Are Tattecos waterproof?
Yes. You can shower and swim while wearing your Tatteco.
However, avoid scrubbing, rubbing or washing directly over the tattoo, as friction will cause it to fade more quickly.
How can I make my tattoo last longer?
Apply your Tatteco to clean, dry, oil-free skin, ideally on an area that does not stretch or experience too much friction.
Once applied, keep the area clean and avoid excessive rubbing, exfoliation and tight clothing over the tattoo.
